Hi.
I have Fibromyalgia which has impeded my ability to exercise for many years now. It is NOT because I am lazy and dont want to move. Quite the opposite. So, with IPF, i now am having an even harder time and have developed bone spurs and arthritis in my feet.
Can I still do Pulmonary Rehab effectively?
Hi Christine, yes you can absolutely participate in Pulmonary Rehab. You would need Your Doctor to write a referral and also you would have to make sure the Pulmonary Rehab program is knowledgeable on how to work within the parameters that you and your body set. We successfully work with people everyday that have similar challenges that you are dealing with. We would love to help in any way, please feel free to schedule a complimentary consultation. Have a great day!
Hi I am have been diougnosed with pulmonary fibrosis after a lung biopsy in April 2017. My doctor has unsuccessful tried to get me on a pulmonary rehab course since then. I live in York and apparently we have no funding for the courses in this area. I wrote to my local MP who has sent a letter to NICE. I have an appointment for June 2018 for an appraisal to see if the course would be good for me. Last May I think I would have been in a better place. This year I am on oxygen 24/7 6lt at rest and find myself out of breath turning over in bed. Do you have any practices in the north of England ? I am desperate for any help .

Andy Smith
